Machining centre from HURCO

On 29.06.2023 the time had come. The VMX 50 i MACHINING CENTRE FROM HURCO was delivered and is now ready for use.

Specially designed for the production of larger workpieces, the 3-axis machining centre expands the machinery of Dessl Maschinenbau GmbH. The robust construction of the machine enables machining with highest precision and a 40-fold tool changer for tools with IKZ allows dynamic production.

The modern CNC system is controlled via CAM. The digitalisation of the processes allows the data of the workpiece to be transferred directly from the design in the computer to the machining centre.

The parking space for the new machine is cleared and ready.

The crane is also already waiting for the new heavyweight.

And there she comes.  Still covered by truck tarpaulins.

Boy, that's a big one. Briefing before the loading manoeuvre.

The team is lucky: the weather couldn't be nicer after days of rain.

Critical minutes: A big fish on the hook.

That should fit.

Now the machine has to be lowered just onto rollers so that it can be pulled into the production hall.

Now it's pull and push.

Now there is a problem. The forklift that is supposed to push the machine into the hall...

is too light. The wheels are spinning. What to do?

Rescue is at hand. The neighbours Geschütze Werkstätten Tirol next door were kind enough to lend us a larger forklift. Thank you very much!

With more horsepower it works. The machine is moving.

And can be pushed and pulled over the threshold.

Relief. The hardest part is done.

Now give it a good push and "the new one" is in place.

A few weeks later, everything is mounted and adjusted. The VMX 50 i machining centre from HURCO can go into operation.
